GUSA Recreational Soccer Programs

GUSA offers receational soccer programs for youth from the ages of 4 (U5) to 18 (U19). 

Lower Division Soccer Programs (U4 - U8)

The lower division recreational soccer programs are coed leagues for the U5 - U8 age groups.  U6, and U8 games are typically held at Hidden Rock park.  Practices are held the following fields:  Byrd Elementary School, former Goochland Middle School, Hidden Rock Park, and Salem Baptist Church in Manakin-Sabot.  Parents can request that their player(s) be rostered on a team that practices at a location most convenient for them.  Teams typically practice once per week.

U4 and U5 soccer programs are managed by the Goochland Family YMCA.  Contact the YMCA, 804 556 9887, for details.

 

 

Upper Division Soccer Programs (U10 - U14)

 

The Upper Division programs offer both coed and girls-only soccer for youth in the U10 - U14 age groups.  Upper ivision teams  compete in either the Cross County Association leagues or the Richmond Kickers’ recreational league.   Upper division home games are typically held at either Hidden Rock Park or the former Goochland Middle School.  Away games are held at the opponent’s home fields throughout the metro Richmond area.  Practices are held at one of the following locations: Byrd Elementary School, former Goochland Middle School, Hidden Rock Park, Salem Baptist Church (Manakin-Sabot). 

Upper division teams typically practice 2 times per week.

NOTE: *The U10 Coed (boys) teams participate in the Richmond Kickers Rec League.  League games are played at Providence Middle School or other assigned Kickers’ fields.
