The mission of GUSA is to promote the sport of soccer in Goochland County .  The vision of GUSA is to afford our young players the opportunity to participate in soccer at all levels, from those who may never have previously played, to those who just want to have fun with their friends to those who seek to participate in competitive games.  We strive to provide all of our players with the opportunity to develop their technical and tactical soccer skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.  To that end, we provide coaching, organize games and referees.  As Goochland continues to grow, our Board is actively involved in securing resources to support soccer’s growth in Goochland, such as the development of new fields.  We are members of the Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA – www.vysa.com) and affiliated with the US Youth Soccer Association.   GUSA works with the public schools in Goochland to develop and train players for our Middle School and High School teams. 

We are a 100% volunteer organization and rely upon the involvement and commitment of the parents and others who donate their time and talents to our club.  Information about the members of the Board of Directors of GUSA together with information about their various responsibilities and how they may be contacted can be found on the Board of Directors page of this website.  Our Board of Directors has a number of different openings and we are always looking for new members to provide additional resources for our club.
